AFL is seeking a sharp Business Analyst with analytical firepower crystal-clear communication and problem-solving grit to transform raw data into strategic wins. Youll bridge business needs and technical deliverymastering Power BI data modeling and Microsoft automation to empower PMO Finance and cross-functional teams with timely actionable insights.

Reporting to the Manager of Data and Analytics the Business Analyst willmaintain and improve existing BI solutions while contributing to new initiatives that support accurate and timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders. The Business Data Analyst will work closely with crossâfunctional teams and executives leveraging strong communication and analytical skills to translate business needs into scalable reliable data solutions.

What you will do :

  • Support full lifecycle report development including requirements gathering data modeling ETL visualization and deployment.
  • Design and maintain datasets data models and data extractions for reporting across Engineering Project Management Construction Supply Chain and other business units.
  • Build and maintain Power BI datasets reports and dashboards using data modeling best practices.
  • Use Power Automate to streamline data refreshes automate business processes and optimize reporting workflows.
  • Connect to and manage data sources including SharePoint Lists and libraries SQL databases REST APIs etc.
  • Identify data quality issues in source systems collaborate with stakeholders to resolve them and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with crossâfunctional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and reporting solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation covering reports datasets ETL pipelines data models automations and business processes to support longâterm sustainability and team knowledge retention.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on system optimization automation and reporting efficiency including the adoption and integration of AIâdriven tools.
  • Follow and promote AFLs environmental health and safety policies.

What you bring :

  • Handsâon experience developing Power BI solutions (Desktop & Service) in a production or enterprise environment.
  • Experience in DAX data modeling and BI development workflows.
  • Experience using SharePoint as a data source (Lists document libraries folder connectors).
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in learning Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Automate Power Apps).
  • Strong analytical and problemâsolving skills with attention to data accuracy including the ability to normalize inconsistent client data for analyticsâready ingestion.
  • Excellent communication skills for gathering business requirements and explaining technical concepts to nonâtechnical audiences.
  • Selfâdriven curious and eager to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively in a fastâpaced environment.
  • Nice To Have :

  • Experience with SQL for querying and basic data transformations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure Power Platform administration etc.).
  • Background or domain experience in Telecommunications or Construction.
  • Experience with automation or ETL tooling beyond the Microsoft Power Platform.

  • Hybrid office environment
  • General hours of Monday through Friday 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm
  • Some travel may be required
