We are conducting electric meter upgrades in the St. Albert, Red Deer, Calgary and Lethbridge , AB areas for Fortis Alberta , and are hiring Full Time Temporary Electric Meter Installers! Applicants need to be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license and have a clean criminal and driving history. NO EXPERIENCE is required with paid training! If you consider yourself an independent worker and enjoy being outside, this job is for you!

Temporary positions will be expected to run from October to the end of December, 2025.

All of our field staff are provided with :

• Safety gear including company boot (allowance), vests, glasses, etc.
• Company vehicle
• Paid training at $31.35 / hour , up to a total of $250.80 for a full day
• Will be transitioned to piece rate once training is successfully completed, unlocking your earning potential!

Responsibilities :

This position is responsible for installing single phase electric meters by replacing an existing meter (change-out). The new meter and meter module are installed to automate the process of reading a meter for accurate consumption and billing.
