About the Role We are looking for a SCADA Engineer to join our team. A SCADA Engineer’s primary responsibilities are the engineering, configuration, and commissioning of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Utility‑scale PV plant SCADA systems. The successful applicant will collaborate with local team members and regularly interact with other company resources, experts, and management located around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Create design documentation and drawings for the SCADA system on the PV plant
- Provide technical assistance to customers (EPCs, installers) to ensure proper installation of the SCADA system
- Support the purchasing team in the procurement of materials from US vendors
- Support the sales team with technical advice and recommendations
- Configure SCADA systems
- Organize and execute plant commissioning tasks and generate the associated commissioning documents
- Travel to project sites, as needed, to perform field commissioning
- Assist customers with testing, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and device application problems
- Assist Technical Support personnel with support related matters
- Actively participate and contribute in developing a quality assurance/quality control plan and documentation for plant commissioning
- Other duties as assigned
Required Competencies
- Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office applications, LibreOffice and Google Suite
- Comfortable executing commands using the command line
- Field commissioning skills and experience
- Able to interface directly with various levels of customer engineering and management staff
- Methodical and analytical skills to understand and process customer issues and concerns
- Willing to learn new software and tools and able to convey topics in simple, straightforward manners
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred
- Experience in the renewable energy sector, a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time
