As our Fire Suppression Technician, you will be responsible for a wide variety of in-field fire services such as installing, inspecting, maintaining, modifying, and servicing fire protection equipment and fire suppression systems including vehicle suppression, kitchen suppression, industrial suppression, and clean agent suppression systems at commercial, industrial, and institutional sites.


What You'll Do:

  • Verifying conditions of suppression system, including validation of installation compliance and component location;
  • Test, replace and repair system components;
  • Perform all mechanical and electrical tests required to certify proper system operation;
  • Assess equipment, environment and operating conditions;
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, specifications, schematics, and operational/product manuals;
  • Evaluating plans, customer requests, code, and non-conformance issues to determine specific solutions and recommendations for customers and management;
  • Install systems according to manufacturer’s instructions;
  • After installation, validate system operation;
  • Preparing stock materials for daily execution of assigned work orders and optimizing material utilization;
  • Completing daily reports of completed work orders and activities;
  • Ensuring safe work practices are followed safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job;
  • Mentoring other team members including trainees and field service labour; and
  • Participating in 24/7 on-call/call out emergency service.

Qualifications:


  • A candidate with a minimum of 2+ years’ field experience across various industries and a diploma in a mechanical trade would be preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

En tant que techniciens en extinction d'incendie, vous serez responsable d'une grande variété de services d'incendie sur le terrain, tels que l'installation, l'inspection, l'entretien, la modification et la réparation d'équipements de protection contre les incendies et de systèmes d'extinction d'incendie, y compris les systèmes d'extinction pour véhicules, cuisines, industries et agents propres sur des sites commerciaux, industriels et institutionnels.


Vos missions :

  • Vérifier l'état du système d'extinction, notamment en validant la conformité de l'installation et l'emplacement des composants ;
  • Tester, remplacer et réparer les composants du système ;
  • Effectuer tous les tests mécaniques et électriques nécessaires pour certifier le bon fonctionnement du système ;
  • Évaluer l'équipement, l'environnement et les conditions d'exploitation ;
  • Lire et interpréter les plans, les schémas, les spécifications, les schémas fonctionnels et les manuels d'utilisation/de produit ;
  • Évaluer les plans, les demandes des clients, les codes et les problèmes de non-conformité afin de déterminer des solutions et des recommandations spécifiques pour les clients et la direction ;
  • Installer les systèmes conformément aux instructions du fabricant ;
  • Après l'installation, valider le fonctionnement du système ;
  • Préparer les matériaux en stock pour l'exécution quotidienne des bons de travail attribués et optimiser l'utilisation des matériaux ;
  • Remplir les rapports quotidiens sur les bons de travail et les activités terminés ;
  • Veiller à ce que les pratiques de travail sécuritaires soient respectées et à ce que le leadership en matière de sécurité soit démontré dans tous les aspects du travail ;
  • Encadrer les autres membres de l'équipe, y compris les stagiaires et le personnel de service sur le terrain ; et
  • Participer au service d'urgence 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7.

Qualifications :

  • Un candidat ayant au moins 2 ans d'expérience dans divers secteurs et un diplôme dans un domaine mécanique serait préférable.
  • Doit posséder un permis de conduire valide.
