Job descriptionProvide meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and personal care. Enable seniors to live at home as long as possible, doing what they love. Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide. Help clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises. Ensure safety and proper use of equipment. Operate within your experience and knowledge, practicing safely and competently. Accurately complete records and documentation. Valid certificate for PSW, HCA, or foreign-trained nurse. Must be able to travel independently to clients' homes in Vaughan and Richmond Hill. Currently enrolled in caregiver or nursing education. Ability to identify and report client care concerns. Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (updated every 5 years). Negative TB test (updated every 5 years). Fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Two professional references. CPR certification. Cell phone with data, email access, and ability to use online software (e.g., AlayaCare). Fluent in English, both spoken and written; other languages are assets. Valid SIN and eligibility to work in Canada. Italian, Greek-speaking caregivers or those with relevant cultural experience; bilingualism is an asset. Having a vehicle and valid driver’s license. Previous caregiving experience. Experience with mechanical lifts and transfers. Experience caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's. Experience with clients with limited mobility. Attendance & Reliability AMS - Attendance Monitoring System (AlayaCare) NPS; Client Score of 10 Full PPE kit provided upon hire. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination mandatory. Daily screening for clients and caregivers.
