General Ledger Accountant

Job Title: Ledger AccountantJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Ledger Accountant to translate 12 months of cash accounting and address missing transactions in the AP and AR Ledgers. This role is pivotal in maintaining financial accuracy and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Translate 12 months of cash accounting into the appropriate ledgers.
• Identify and resolve missing transactions in the AP and AR Ledgers.
• Collaborate with the controller to ensure financial data integrity.
• Utilize Excel for data management, including Vlookups and Pivot tables.

Essential Skills

• Reconciliation expertise is a must.
• CPA, CGA, CAM, or ACCA designation.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience post-designation.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency, including Vlookups and Pivots.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to extend the contract beyond the initial term.
• Experience in the automotive dealership industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with PBS Software is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and an inquisitive nature.
• A sense of humor to manage challenging situations.

Work Environment

The position involves working closely with the controller in Langley but is primarily independent. The office is located upstairs from one of the dealerships. Work is conducted in the office Monday to Thursday, with the flexibility to work from home on Fridays. The role requires a 40-hour workweek with a business casual dress code on-site.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
