Job Title: Assembly Technician Level 2

Location: Tilbury Industrial Park
Position Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM; Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:10 PM

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembly Technician Level 2 to join our team. This position requires hands-on assembly of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess strong attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components as per blueprints, assembly drawings, and procedure manuals.
  • Operate pneumatic tools and machines for assembly tasks.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products and troubleshoot minor machine issues.
  • Accurately update job schedules and manufacturing status using computer systems.
  • Conduct final assembly testing and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following safety protocols and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Mentor and assist junior assembly technicians, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, squatting, and prolonged standing.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including timekeeping, attendance, and overtime requirements.

Position Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5 years in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic assembly or metal fabrication, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in reading blueprints and assembly instructions.
    • Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
    • Ability to use basic computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Access) for reporting and schedule updates.
    • Familiarity with pneumatic tools is an asset.
    • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
    • Capable of standing, squatting, and bending for extended periods.
    • Good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and dexterity.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Positive attitude and a willingness to work overtime when required.
