Our client is a Canadian subsidiary of a leading US innovator in licensed apparel, accessories and lifestyle products and are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to lead revenue growth and expand their Canadian market share. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales strategy development, relationship management, and leadership within the retail, wholesale, and licensing industries. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering results.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue and market penetration in Canada.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key and specialty retailers across various distribution channels.
- Manage and provide leadership to internal sales managers, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure brand consistency and business success.
- Partner with merchandising and planning teams to optimize product assortment and sales performance.
- Leverage data and analytics to track sales performance, measure KPIs, and drive data-driven decision-making.
Work closely with finance and accounts receivable teams to maintain visibility on customer and channel risks.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.7+ years of sales management experience in apparel, accessories, or related consumer goods industries.Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets in a multi-channel environment.Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a sales team.Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.Passion for pop culture, licensed products, and the retail landscape.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
