We are hiring an experienced Lead Hand Framer/Carpenter who can successfully lead a team and ensure that we can continue to succeed in maintaining long-lasting client relationships through our quality work. Granite Park is an established professional high-end construction/landscaping business located in Hamilton. We provide both distinctive indoor spaces and stunning outdoor landscapes and pride ourselves in integrity and quality craftmanship. Responsibilities: The successful applicant must be able to perform the following tasks: * Successfully lead a crew of 2-4 team members * Installing foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, doors, door frames, hardware, interior/exterior trim * Fitting and installing window frames. * Repairing cabinets, doors, frameworks and floors * Construction of outdoor decks, fences and outdoor living structures * Other duties as assigned. Requirements: * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar carpentry position * Driver’s Licence/Transportation * Strong leadership skills * Able to read/interpret blueprints when necessary. * Worker at Heights training * Able to work independently. * Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent time management skills and strong analytical abilities. * Organized and results oriented. * Own basic tools would be an asset. The successful applicant will be entitled to a total compensation plan including an excellent wage, health benefits and a bonus plan. Wages are extremely competitive and negotiated fairly based on experience, ability, and attitude.
