Job Summary
The Team
The Serious and Organized Crime Division is an established team consisting of three business units composed of approximately 20 individuals including managers, analysts and support staff. The members of this highly motivated Division are passionate about working with police and other stakeholders on programs and policies related to serious and organized crime, public order, and the development and expansion of hub model programs that provide front line services to individuals in crisis.
The Role
As the Executive Director, Serious and Organized Crime, reporting to the Deputy Director of the Policing and Security Branch, you will play a vital role in enhancing public safety across British Columbia. In this position, you will oversee the development and implementation of initiatives that tackle serious crimes, including organized crime and gun violence. You'll work closely with a team to create policies and strategies that address high-priority issues, collaborating with local, provincial, and federal partners, as well as community groups. Your leadership will be essential in ensuring effective management of the division and in fostering strong relationships with stakeholders committed to improving safety for all British Columbians. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work a few days at home per week subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
