What can you expect from the role?
- Accepting notice of claim and working with the customer and preferred Vendors to resolve the claim quickly and efficiently
- Confirming policy coverage by ensuring the facts of the claim fall within the scope of the policy
- Maintaining detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems
- Processing claims payments within level of authority after verifying claimant's entitlement
- Initiating salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned files
- Assist in managing the property queues
- You are available to work within the hours of 8 : 00 a.m. to 6 : 00 p.m.
What you bring to the role?
A university degree, 2-year college diploma or CIP designation would be an asset5 + year's experienceLicensed in New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland would be an assetExperience in auto or property claims (knowledge of property is an asset)Familiarity with CICS and CDS systemProficient in MS Word and ExcelActively pursuing CIP designationMust be available to participate in catastrophic loss duties across Ontario (potentially on a national basis) if support is required by other regionsBilingual capabilities (French and English) would be an assetProfessional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workersAble to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressureTeam player adaptable to a changing environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsSalary range is $55,800- $102,800
