Your role

Join our team as a Project Management Co-op Student for 12 - 16 months starting in January 2025 on our Eastern Ontario Team!

As a Project Management Co-op Student, you’ll join our team of experts who lead major capital building and infrastructure projects. Working with communities across the province, our team is part of bringing meaningful change by assisting communities gain access to housing, education and healthcare where people live, and fostering opportunities for economic participation and environmental stewardship.

Our Co-op students get the opportunity to work with the best in the industry and to develop their skills on a diverse range of projects that vary in scope and complexity. Some exciting projects we've helped deliver in the community includes the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario' s Integrated Treatment Centre and a fit-up to conserve Ottawa's West Memorial Building!

Responsibilities

  • Grow your core project management skills by supporting capital project delivery and develop a deeper understanding of design principals, construction methodologies and contract law.
  • Collaborate and provide project support to Project Managers by drafting reports, doing cost tracking and producing progress status updates.
  • Attend project and site meetings, documenting action items and key decisions to share with the team.
  • Learn and contribute to scheduling and budget adjustments.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents.

Qualifications

  • 3rd / 4th year student enrolled in either Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Project Management programs
  • A keen interest in project management along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Previous co-op, internship or summer term experience in an engineering, architecture, construction or project management environment is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel
