This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced mining engineer to play a lead role in returning this past producing gold mine back into production. Previously recognised for its prolific production it is nearing completion of construction and rehabilitation activities with first gold pour planned for early 2024.
Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for providing on-site coordination for all phases of mine site activities, ensuring company safety, policies and procedures are being strictly followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. As Manager you will be responsible for scheduling, inspection, quality control, job site safety to ensure employee and operational performance meets established quality, productivity and cost objectives. The Manager will also commit to embedding and fostering the company health and safety culture of ‘No Harm’ while ensuring compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
Ideally you will be a graduate mining engineer with a minimum 10 years of progressive experience in underground mining operations, solid technical skills and unwavering commitment to safety. On a personal level you have exceptional interpersonal qualities, proven leadership skills and are committed to a collaborative culture that practices coaching, mentoring and employee development.
