Job descriptionFemale Live-In Health Care Aide We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced female Health Care Aide to provide one-on-one care for an older disabled woman who is wheelchair-dependent and housebound. This is a live-in position for someone who is kind, patient, dependable, and committed to helping her live comfortably and safely in her own home. Responsibilities • Safely assist with transfers to and from her wheelchair. • Provide personal care, including assistance with toileting, bathing, dressing, and grooming. • Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals. • Perform housekeeping duties. • Offer companionship while respecting her privacy, dignity, and independence. • Observe and report any changes in her condition. Qualifications • Health Care Aide Diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of 3 years' professional caregiving experience with verifiable references. • Valid non-GDL Class 5 driver's licence held for a minimum of 2 years. • Current driver's abstract. • Current Standard First Aid certification with CPR Level C (or equivalent). • Up-to-date immunization record, including TB screening (documentation required upon offer of employment). • Clear spoken and written English. • Ability to safely lift up to 34 kg (75 lb). • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. • Experience providing care for individuals with mobility limitations and using safe transfer techniques. • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Additional Information • Pets are part of the household, so applicants must be comfortable working around animals. • This home is not accessible by public transit.
