Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
This is an exciting time for Manitoba health care. Manitobas health system is currently in transition with changes aimed at improving the quality accessibility and efficiency of health care services throughout Manitoba.
As part of the Shared Health Workforce team the Wellbeing Center of Expertise will develop implement and evaluate a multi-year made in Manitoba provincial workplace wellbeing strategy to instill a holistic culture of wellbeing psychological safety belonging equity and meaningful connection through five inter-dependent pillars : People First Instill Belonging Foster Purpose Inspiring Leaders Intentional Organizational Action and Organizational Sustainability.
Main Function
Reporting to the Executive Director Provincial Wellbeing the Provincial Wellbeing Manager will be responsible for the implementation and management of operations programming and workforce planning including recruitment retention and professional development within the Provincial Wellbeing collaboration with the Executive Director and Wellbeing Leaders the Provincial Wellbeing Manager ensures the creation of and adherence to the processes and procedures that support the work of the Provincial Wellbeing Program. The Provincial Wellbeing Manager will collaborate with leadership on the development and implementation of provincial wellbeing initiatives prevention strategies and policies that will promote the holistic wellbeing of Manitobas healthcare workforce. The goal of these initiatives will be to build provincial capacity in responding to crisis promoting recovery fostering awareness of mental health supports and enabling wellbeing along a continuum programming and workforce planning.
As a member of the leadership team the Provincial Wellbeing Manager values an interdisciplinary approach and works collaboratively with various stakeholders including Service Delivery Organizations Occupational and Environmental Safety & Health (OESH) Shared Health Manitoba Health and other health providers.
Responsible for the hiring and oversight of and development planning for the Wellbeing Leaders.
Leading and coordinating the execution of the provincial wellbeing strategy in collaboration with the Executive Director Wellbeing Leaders and Service Delivery Organizations.
Assists with the development implementation and delivery of a consistent and sustainable Provincial Critical Incident Stress Response Program across a full continuum of services and education.
Leads with the development review and improvement of guidelines and procedures that underpin the work of the Provincial Wellbeing Program ensuring compliance with Shared Health standards and privacy legislation.
Assists the Provincial Wellbeing leadership with program planning for and implementation of the delivery of efficient and high-quality services.
Supports an interdisciplinary approach to meeting health care needs facilitating cross-program collaboration with Provincial Wellbeing services as appropriate.
Fosters an environment that values quality and safety (including cultural safety) encourages improvement and welcomes new ideas.
Prepares reports and presentations for the Executive Director / Leadership the Board of Directors and funding bodies.
This Role requires scheduling flexibility occasional evening / weekend work limited travel and participation in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications and Skills
Understanding of adult education delivery and program development.
Proven ability to build and lead teams in changing working environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
