DarkVision , part of Koch Engineered Solutions, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of state‑of‑the‑art ultrasonic imaging technologies. The role focuses on tackling complex engineering problems with a first‑principles approach to deliver robust solutions.

Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will develop mechanical parts and assemblies for ultrasonic imaging products that must survive extreme conditions, including pressures up to 15,000 psi and temperatures up to 150 °C. The position is on‑site full‑time at our HQ in North Vancouver, BC.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed design of mechanical parts and assemblies for electronics packaging, pressure vessels, sensor carriers, dynamic structural elements and fluid handling systems.
• Perform engineering calculations to assess system viability and performance, including the use of numerical tools such as FEA.
• Collaborate with external contract manufacturers to source custom and off‑the‑shelf components.
• Assemble prototypes of new products or improvements to existing products and support their testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Determine testing requirements for new devices or components, and design custom test equipment for accelerated life testing.
• Collaborate with broader engineering teams to gather cross‑functional design requirements and communicate design interdependencies and trade‑offs.
• Occasionally travel to field offices to support final testing and commissioning of devices prior to commercial deployment.

Estimated range : $120,000 – $160,000 per year, payable with variable bonus options.
