Job Summary

The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is seeking skilled, reliable, and safety-focused Lifeguards / Aquatics Instructors to provide high-quality aquatic experiences at Town pool facilities and programs. Reporting to the Recreation Program Specialist, this role combines lifeguarding, instructional, and coaching responsibilities to promote water safety, skill development, and positive recreation experiences for participants of all ages.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas and enforce safety protocols, rules, and regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first‑aid / recovery as required.
• Lead swimming lessons, Aqua Fit classes, and youth swim programs.
• Support inclusive participation and adapt activities for all skill levels.
• Maintain accurate records, assist with swim meets, and support facility operations.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the Town professionally.
