  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within the pharmacy team.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and able to multitask.
  • Exercises sound judgment and effective problem-solving abilities as required.
  • Dependable and reliable.

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Completion of post-secondary education: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN).
  • Active registration, in good standing, with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Current Standard First Aid CPR Level C with AED certification.
  • Injection Certification.
  • Completion of BCCDC Immunization Competency Courses.
  • Experience using IMMSBC for recording vaccination information is an asset; candidates with adequate experience administering COVID-19 and/or flu vaccines may also be considered.
  • Good working knowledge of computers.

SCHEDULING:

  • Flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics typically run from mid-October through December, and may continue into January if there is demand.
  • Possibility of optional spring COVID-19 booster programs depending on recommendations from BCCDC and BC Minister of Health.
  • Clinic days may be scheduled Monday through Sunday and will be coordinated with pharmacy managers and head office.
  • Scheduled hours vary depending on vaccine supply, public demand, and available days and locations you are willing to work.
