Job description
Production Manager Job Duties
Create and update purchase orders
Maintain status of purchase orders (planned ship dates, in transit and delivered)
Resolve invoice discrepancies between Finance and Supplier
Order spare parts through Groupe to support small orders and occasionally for TCC
Determine ship methods
Update scheduled ship dates as necessary
Communicate shipping schedule changes to sales
Inventory Activities;
Return of non-conforming material to supplier
Update In Transit report
Maintain record of product scrapped and issue ticket number
Coordinate rework/update of material (by deployment) based on approved CO’s and TDN’s
Create work orders
Assist Warehouse in being certain product is correctly configured prior to shipment if updates are required
Manage inventory volumes to ensure agreed safety stock level is maintained and demand is satisfied
Planning Activities:
Update NAR forecast
Prepare and present reports at S&OP meeting to senior management
Review and Approve TDN’s
Determine classification of product with Freight Forwarder
Request extension of part numbers in SAP either after CO approval or as needed
Advise Finance on new pricing and changes
Review of revenue plan (weekly)
Review of sales Boms and submit for approval
Review of in quarter backlog (weekly)
Provide schedule dates for SO’s
Misc. Activities:
Daily review of delivery status on all orders
Contact Freight Forwarder to receive an ETA for product, export, expedite and arrange pick up
Approve freight invoices
Ensure shipment of product on time
Work with suppliers and Groupe on quality issues
Contact component suppliers to expedite parts
Work with Engineering to approve new suppliers
