Job Summary

First Student is seeking a reliable and organized Part time Dispatcher to join our Ft. Frances, ON location. The Dispatcher plays a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and timely transportation services by coordinating driver assignments, managing route changes, and responding to operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily driver assignments and route coverage.
• Monitor radio and GPS systems to track vehicle locations and respond to incidents.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, maintenance staff, and management.
• Handle last-minute changes, absences, and emergencies with professionalism.
• Maintain accurate records of routes, incidents, and driver attendance.
• Support driver check-in / check-out procedures and ensure compliance with schedules.
• Assist with customer inquiries and service requests.
• Collaborate with the Location Manager to improve operational efficiency.
