About the position : Reporting to the Purchasing Manager while working closely with Operations team, the Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining and reconciling inventory records for multiple sites in the Northern Alberta region.

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and update inventory records
  • Manage the daily cycle count program with warehouse personnel
  • Assist in annual physical inventory
  • Prepare and assist with tank farm reconciliation
  • Monthly reconciliation of customer and supplier consignment inventory
  • Participate in quarantine product reviews to identify products to be classified as waste for disposal
  • Verify return of goods and receipt
  • Process inventory adjustments
  • Research and investigate inventory discrepancies
  • Participate in aged inventory reviews with the Sales Department
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications :

  • Related University degree or college diploma, SCMP designation or two (2) years of related inventory or purchasing work experience is required
  • Must have very strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • SAP, Tableau, and Sharepoint experience are considered an asset
