We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Transportation team. This position will travel to various locations around the territory assisting a crew with specialized maintenance activities which may include line painting resurfacing sign installation or sweeping.

Essential Qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

• Job experience operating a wide variety of heavy equipment which must include a dump truck and loader.
• Valid Class 3 drivers license with air endorsement.

Candidates who have education training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment

This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:

• Must possess and maintain a valid Yukon Class 3 drivers license with air endorsement
• YG competency on heavy equipment (loader and dump truck)
• Transportation Dangerous Goods Certificate (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)

This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following job requirements:

• Travel
• Working in adverse weather conditions
• Mandatory use of personal protective equipment
• Personal tool kit
• Steel-toe work boots with ankle support
• Adhering to the safety program and all applicable policies and procedures
