The Facility Maintenance is responsible to maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair all HVAC equipment within the Department of National Defense facilities to achieve optimum life span of equipment.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Perform monthly preventative maintenance as directed by the supervisor including : Perform site inspections (interior / exterior) and documentRespond to emergency trouble calls of a mechanical nature, and support other staff in their tasksSupport mechanical maintenance duties, including but not limited to : Minor repairsChange beltsReplace filtersSupport additional work requests, including small projectsCoordinate minor repairs including replace flush valves and faucets, clear toilets and drains, replace lamps, reset breakersUtilize CMMS to demonstrate and document work performed on building assets and service to tenantsOrder and maintain supply inventoryOversee repair and maintenance tasks performed by sub-tradesVarious cleaning tasks, as agreed upon and as time permitsEnsure maximum operation of equipment; inspect / operate / maintain and minor repairs for mechanical / electrical systems and equipment (HVAC equipment, pumps, generators, life safety system, etc.).Ensure all equipment are operated in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable government codes and regulations.Other tasks as agreed upon.
