Temporary Full Time Educational Assistant (W-PREP)

Pembina Hills School Division, Early Learning Services requires a Temporary Full Time Educational Assistant based out of the W-PREP Classroom located at École Westlock Elementary School. The successful candidate must be a self-directed team player who is interested in working with children with diverse needs in the preschool program. Hours of work will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 6.75 hours / day, 27 hours / week following the school calendar. This position starts February 17, 2026 and ends May 7, 2026 .

Our Early Learning Programs are for 3 to 4 year-old children who have moderate or complex needs. In small, play-based settings, children receive instruction in specific skills.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Experience with children with complex needs
• Familiar with and experience in early intervention
• An understanding of early childhood development and experience and training in working with preschool children with developmental disabilities
• Able to work as a member of a preschool team
• Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
• Experience with speech language support and behavioural issues an asset
• First Aid would be an asset
