Inspection Trainee

Job Summary

The Inspection Trainee in Nisku, Alberta will assist Operators in the inspection and minor repair of tubular goods and is responsible for pipe handling, cleaning, inspection and minor repair of tubular goods, including drill pipe.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Assisting Operators in the utilization of the drift machine and pipe rotators.
• Thread inspection
• Magnetic Particle Inspection
• Cleaning and minor repair of pipe threads
• Drifting of tubulars
• Removal and application of thread compounds
• Equipment set up and tear down
• Equipment calibration as directed
• Basic maintenance
• General housekeeping and shop cleanup
• Follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Participate in training programs as required by the company.
• All other duties as assigned.
