Our client in Niagara Region, ON is actively looking for a Millwright to join their team.
Position Description:

• Perform testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on various steel production and support equipment, including: Electric Arc Furnace Ladle Furnace Vacuum Degasser (VDG) Argon Oxygen Decarburizer (AOD) Billet caster Grinders and saws Annealing furnaces Diesel locomotives Overhead cranes
• Install, maintain, and repair heavy industrial systems and components, such as bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, compressors, hoists, mobile equipment, fans, blowers, heat exchangers, and cooling towers.
• Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals to identify mechanical issues, plan repair or installation work, and determine required materials or tools.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional maintenance and operational support tasks as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanical Millwright (A) or Construction Millwright (A).
• Minimum years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, steelmaking, or heavy industrial environment (asset).
• Comfortable working rotating shifts (days, nights, afternoons), overtime, and occasional weekends.
• Proven mechanical aptitude with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
• Motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, continuous production environment.
