Job Title: Junior AccountantLocation: Pointe-Claire (with occasional work from home)Salary: $55,000-$65,000Benefits: Group insurance, opportunity for advancement, 3 weeks vacation, $750 health spending accountAbout the Opportunity:A dynamic and growing company in Pointe-Claire is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join their finance team during this exciting period of growth. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the increased workload, ensuring accurate and timely financial processes, and contributing to the overall success of the team.Key Responsibilities: Enter and manage accounting transactions, including accounts payable and receivable Maintain and update financial accounts and records Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies Support the preparation of financial statements and monthly/annual closings Assist with the preparation of tax and government filings (e.g., GST/QST returns) Help prepare documentation for audits and respond to requests from auditors Contribute to maintaining compliance with financial regulations and internal controls Profile Sought: Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices Proficient with Excel Experience with various aspects of accounting Ability to handle accounting tasks for multiple entities Functional communication skills in both English and French High attention to detail, especially for reconciliations and reporting Able to work independently while also contributing to team goals Interested in this Junior Accountant role in Pointe-Claire?
