The Opportunity :
This position will Lead the development and implementation of City of Airdrie visual and performing arts programs to residents of all ages to develop creative skills and lifelong learning.
Responsibilities include :
- Design and lead the Arts Series and Registered Programs for Airdrie Citizens
- Research and recruit qualified art contractors for the Art Series
- Assisting with the recruitment, coaching, and scheduling of Art Programmer and Art Instructors. Oversee on-boarding and ongoing training
- Conduct outreach and develop and maintain effective working relationships with artists and arts organizations
- Collaboration with Team Leader on the planning and execution of an annual budget, aligned with business plans
- Continually audit the processes and delivery of Arts Programs
- Conduct market segmentation to understand the audience needs for visual and performing arts
You Bring :
Post-secondary degree / diploma in Fine Arts, Public Management, or other related education required3 - 5 years of proven progressive responsibility for oversight and coordination of an arts program3 - 5 years of demonstrated experience leading a team of employeesDemonstrated experience building relationships with Arts OrganizationsKnowledge and experience with program registrationKnowledge and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Suite programsAbility to work independently and be self directedProficient in problem-solvingStrong customer service focusEnthusiastic and positiveExcellent communication and presentation skillsThe ability to work effectively with a wide range of peopleThe ability to pay close attention to detailsThe ability to work well under pressure and make decisions quicklyWe Offer :

This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week.
