Technology Architect

Job Summary :

The Senior Technology Architect is responsible for the development, maintenance, and evolution of network reference architectures for K-12 education and broader public sector environments. This role involves providing subject matter expertise, strategic advice, and hands-on troubleshooting for network security solutions, SDN technology, and network operations. The architect will translate technical realities into clear insights for executive decision-making, ensuring alignment with security, identity, and cloud strategies.

Location : Ontario, Canada

Responsibilities :

• Leading the development and maintenance of network reference architectures.
• Contributing to the development of implementation and strategic roadmaps.
• Providing subject matter expertise on security service edge (SSE) / secure access service edge (SASE), SDN, and network security technologies.
• Translating technical architectures into executive-ready visuals and narratives.
• Developing materials for and presenting to senior management and stakeholders.
• Reviewing and validating architectural approaches proposed by vendors.
• Coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure architectural coherence.
• Creating / updating detailed system documentation and technical specifications.
• Assessing new and emerging network and network security solutions.
• Delivering training and operational guidance to IT and security teams.
• Providing regular status updates and project reports.
• Taking a collaborative approach to solution definition, development, and implementation.
• Delivering other duties as assigned.
