Purpose of the Role :

As the Senior Financial Analyst at Svante Development Company (SDC), you'll play a key role in supporting the commercial development and financing of large-scale industrial projects using Svantes technology. You'll be the primary resource for financial modeling and analysis, providing insights through Excel and PowerPoint to guide strategic decisions. This involves working closely with senior leadership on budgeting and forecasting, maintaining financial model integrity, and collaborating with the Corporate Development team. Over time, you may also take on broader responsibilities in project development, including areas like insurance, real estate, and regulatory incentives, contributing to the advancement of projects toward final investment decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

• You have 5+ years of experience in corporate finance, project finance, FP&A, or a similar financial environment, and you're ready to take on greater ownership of financial analysis and commercial responsibilities in infrastructure project development.
• You have a bachelors degree in business, commerce, or a quantitative field like engineering, mathematics, or statistics. Your strong foundation in finance, accounting, and analytical techniques equips you for success in this role (An MBA or CFA designation, or progress toward one, is a plus).
• You have the ability to connect strategic goals with financial drivers and translate them into detailed financial models. You also understand technical and engineering concepts and can incorporate them into project assumptions and sensitivity analyses.
• You have a meticulous eye for detail and take pride in delivering high-quality work. You're comfortable meeting deadlines, even if it occasionally requires working outside regular hours.
• You have expert-level Excel skills and can confidently audit and build complex financial models. You're also proficient in PowerPoint and can clearly present analytical findings using charts and tables.
• You have strong organizational skills and are proficient with tools that help you manage deliverables efficiently. You thrive under tight deadlines and can shift focus as priorities evolve.
• You have a collaborative spirit and work well in cross-functional teams, building effective relationships across the organization.
• You are based in the Greater Vancouver Area or Denver / Boulder area and are available to work from a Svante office 24 days per week, depending on team needs.
• You are open to traveling approximately 1015% of the time for meetings with SDC and project partners.
