Job descriptionProduces components by assembling parts and subassemblies Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions. Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists. Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts. Conducts quality control checks. Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; and notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Auto mechanic experience an asset Proven experience as a mechanical assembler in a manufacturing environment. Mechanically inclined Knowledge of hand tools Read drawings Pneumatic and or electrical knowledge Licensed mechanic or millwright or apprentice will be given preference Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
THE ROLE
As an Assembler on the day shift, you will ensure the equipment is working efficiently and effectively while delivering a quality product in a safe and clean environment. This is a great opportunity with a leading manufacturing company based in Hamilton, ON, specializing in high-quality industrial products. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembler to join our team on the day shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling components and products according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient production processes. Ideally we are looking for an auto MECHANIC for this role.
