We're looking for a Project Management Specialist to play a key role in our Engineering department, ensuring our projects are planned and executed with maximum efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of our project management processes and drive real change.

What You Will Do

Working independently but in close collaboration with our development managers, you will be the driving force behind our project management framework. Your main responsibilities will include :

Refining and Documenting Processes : You will review our current project management processes, refine them, and provide training and support to our development managers.

Selecting and Implementing Tools : You will evaluate, select, and implement new project management tools for resource allocation, scenario planning, and reporting.

Driving the R&D Pipeline : You will manage our R&D wish list, ensure project plans are well-defined, and present quarterly status updates to key stakeholders.

Tracking and Reporting : You will be responsible for recording project progress weekly and generating clear, accurate reports for our engineering, finance, and business development teams.

Managing Product Specifications : You will act as the custodian of all product requirement specifications, ensuring they are complete, up-to-date, and communicated effectively across our teams.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

We are looking for a motivated professional with a proactive approach and a passion for efficiency.

You have excellent communication skills and can work effectively across different teams, including software, hardware, and business development.

You possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies and are proficient with various project management software.

You are highly organized and bring a meticulous attention to detail to all your work.

You are an analytical problem-solver with a proven track record of managing projects, allocating resources, and collaborating with business development teams.

Bonus Points : A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent, a thorough working knowledge of Jira , and an engineering or technical background would be a significant advantage.

About Your Location

Applanix provides a stable work environment with a hybrid model requiring a minimum of three days per week in our Richmond Hill office. This role does not require travel.
