A Technology Education Teacher is a versatile educator who specializes in teaching practical skills in various technical fields such as woodwork, metalwork, automotive, and electronics.

POSTING DETAILS

Position - Teacher - Technology Education

Focus - Woodwork / Metalwork / Automotive / Electronics

Start Date - As soon as possible (flexible)

Schedule - Full time (guaranteed hours)

Employment - Permanent

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Education degree (Technology of Industrial Education concentration) or equivalent training.

Industrial education courses equal to 33 units which are relevant to prescribed curriculum including appropriate teaching methodology courses for the assignment.

Appropriate journeyman's status or equivalent (if CPP).

A valid Teacher Regulation Branch Certificate, or in progress

Ability to understand and effectively carry out general oral and written instructions with minimum supervision.

Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy and tact in the explanation and exchange of information.

Ability to determine, judge and select an appropriate course of action within limits of established methods and procedures.

A copy of the credential received after completing your teaching program

A copy of your Certificate of Qualification (from the TRB to teach in BC)

PLEASE NOTE

The starting annual salary for this School Teacher position ranges from $50,000 to $104,000, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
