Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Guelph, Ontario. This role requires expertise in managing payroll processes for Ontario-based employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will excel in handling full-cycle payroll for a diverse workforce, including salaried and commissioned employees.

Responsibilities :

• Manage full-cycle payroll processes for Ontario employees, including salaried and commissioned staff.
• Process bi-weekly payroll with precision and ensure compliance with provincial regulations.
• Reconcile payroll data to maintain accuracy and address discrepancies promptly.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now or similar systems to administer payroll operations effectively.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure proper handling of employee benefits and deductions.
• Calculate and process commissions accurately for eligible employees.
• Maintain detailed payroll records and generate reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and payroll regulations specific to Ontario.
• Provide support during audits and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, including full-cycle payroll.
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations and practices in Ontario.
• Ability to process bi-weekly payroll for a workforce of up to 500 employees.
• Experience in handling payroll for salaried and commissioned employees.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills to reconcile payroll data.
• Strong communication skills to address payroll-related inquiries and collaborate with HR.
• Familiarity with benefit administration and related payroll functions.
