• Finning Canada is looking for passionate and field experienced Journeyperson Electricians (Red Seal preferred) to join our Integrated Mining Team (IMT). The Journeyperson Electricians on our Integrated Mining Team are responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of heavy electrical and power generation equipment throughout British Columbia and Yukon Mining Industries. This role offers an opportunity to work on ultra-class Caterpillar mining equipment, and service machinery for the biggest players in the industry. • Job Description :
• Responsibilities :
• Service, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and power generation equipment
• Service and troubleshoot electronic controls, PLCs, HMIs, and electrical switchgear
• Build, construct and test electrical panels
• Load test power generation equipment
• Assist in fulfilling our customer service commitment
• Qualifications :
• Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred)
• FSRA or FSRB credential would be considered an asset
• Power Generation experience would be considered an asset
• Generator Rebuild experience would be considered an asset
• Heavy Duty Mechanical experience or certification would be considered an asset
• Team player capable of working with minimal supervision, in challenging conditions
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract
• Important Details :
• This is a 7 x 7 Continuous Shift
• A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (Drug & Alcohol screening and ability to wear a respirator)
