Job descriptionStrong mechanical aptitude with proven skills in welding and metal fabrication Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Familiarity with rigging, hoisting, and precision alignment of equipment Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement Red Seal Millwright certification or equivalent trade qualification is an asset Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check. Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. $48.06 per hour Secure, long-term employment Competitive wage and benefits package Training and development Opportunities for advancement Overtime available This position is part of a unionized environment. What You'll Be Doing
- Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on industrial equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime
- Install, align, and dismantle machinery and mechanical systems
- Fabricate and weld components using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure equipment reliability
