We are looking for a Project Manager to support our projects in Western Canada. They will be responsible for the success of all projects at Advance Millwrights ( AMI ).

They will ensure that the projects are on-time and on-budget while simultaneously achieving Customer Satisfaction. It is crucial that our Project Managers promotes a positive company image through effective communications, safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with Engineering, Operations, Health and Safety, and Customers on the seamless execution of landed projects.
  • Ensure all work is completed on budget, on time, and in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  • Ensure all field crews have the equipment, materials, and appropriately-skilled personnel to complete the project
  • Supervise and direct Project Coordinators where applicable
  • Promote a safety first culture by working in a safe manner & adhering to all safety policies & procedures
  • Provide mentorship, coaching and training to Project Coordinators, Foreman and Lead Hands as needed
  • Work with Field Services scheduler, purchasing etc. to resolve any with any anticipated staffing needs / changes and material purchases to avoid project delays.
  • Responsible for quality control of all completed work both onsite and in-house.
  • Gather all necessary project information and costs for the purposes of compiling and writing up change notices and out of scope work (extras).
  • Work with purchaser, suppliers, and vendors to ensure quality materials at competitive pricing.
  • Work with TMG finance team to ensure accurate customer invoicing, all paperwork (customer files, job files and quotes) are completed in a timely manner.
  • May prepare accurate job estimates as part of an assigned portfolio
  • Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
  • In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the Company
  • All other duties as required

Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 + years of Project management experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Post-secondary education preferred with a background in mechanical design or engineering
  • Project Management Professional certification or desire to pursue
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time and budget management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD True View.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning systems with preference for experience working with Microsoft NAV Dynamics
  • Willing and able to travel to customer locations as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
