Description

If you are a Product Designer hungry to make a career-making impact as part of an empowered product team, this role is for you. FundThrough is looking for an infinitely curious, impact driven, and experienced Senior Product Designer to join us on our mission to help business owners improve their cash flow by getting them paid ahead of long net terms.

Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will join a small Product team with outsized impact and hands on coaching to help you broaden and deepen your product craft. You will have ownership of key product outcomes and autonomy to chart the best path forward toward them with your team. Being the only Product Designer for the time being, you will have a unique opportunity to craft our Product Design process and norms. You will also be a key driver of our expansion through new partnerships by embedding FundThrough in accounting software and B2B marketplaces.

Requirements

  • This is not your first Rodeo - you’ve been in previous Product, UX or Visual Design roles crafting experiences for users of B2B web and / or mobile applications
  • Your proficiency in using Figma for a wide range of design applications could make you a YouTube star for sharing your knowledge with the world
  • You have used Lean UX and rapid prototyping approaches to frame the problem and iteratively solve it
  • You are well versed and experienced in UX research and usability testing techniques
  • You can tell a great story about a user experience, so your engineering, go-to-market and operations partners can empathize with functional and emotional user needs
  • You are product metrics savvy and can access the impact of your design choices

What you’ll do and love doing :

  • Your design approach starts with deep understanding of the user, what mission they are on and what behaviour change the product design is intended to drive
  • You enjoy working closely in a diversely skilled product triad - engineer, product manager and product designer - to solve user and business problems
  • You know that design patterns help build user habits, so you have a keen eye on maintaining consistency across the product to build these habits
  • You feel deep responsibility for the user experience - you passionately advocate for a delightful user experience when discussing trade offs within your team
  • You use data and product metrics to learn about user behavior and evaluate if we are achieving product success
  • You are a passionate champion for inclusive and accessible design
  • You are a systems thinker, who is eager to lead the evolution of our design process and drive its adoption by key collaborators

    • We understand that Covid has shifted the way we work. Our Downtown Toronto office is open and we encourage FundThrough’ers based within the GTA to use it. This role is open to being fully remote or hybrid as long as you're based in Canada.
