A Food & Food Processing company has a Human Resources Assistant position available. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter looking to evolve alongside a growing company. A company in the Abbotsford, British Columbia area is looking to hire an HR Assistant. This is a great opportunity for a candidate looking for a long-term contract / temporary position.

Research the internet to discover potential customers
Manage a number of administrative duties
Maintain employee database records
Participate in planning new employee orientation meetings

Job Requirements :

Knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration

Internal communications experience

Personnel file maintenance experience

Interviewing experience

Comprehensive knowledge of employee relations

Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

At least 1+ years of HR related experience desired

Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

Prior experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

Accomplished in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

Able to maintain an approachable and appropriate attitude when interacting with all levels of personnel in a rapidly changing environment
