Overview
Aplin has partnered with a leading client to assist with an immediate opening for an Accounting Supervisor. This role focuses on expertise in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, with responsibilities spanning payroll, benefits, GST reconciliation, internal controls, and financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Payroll and Benefits
- GST Reconciliation and Remittances
- Evaluate and implement internal controls
- Assess financial controls and systems management
- Participate in preparation of financial statements
- Performing / reviewing daily reconciliation of key accounts
- Financial statement analysis, preparation and review
- Creating, coordinating, and evaluating financial programs
- Journal entry preparation and review
- Government reporting
- Managing and mentoring staff (direct reports : 2 staff)
- Overseeing and assisting with budgets, payroll, ledger, and account maintenance and data entry
- Preparation of financial statements, financial reports, and monthly executive financial reports
- Maintaining and implementing finance, accounting and billing procedures
- Maintaining and implementing appropriate internal controls
- Ensuring records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
- Analyzing cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide departments
- Analyzing financial statements to identify potential weak areas
- Reconciliation of detail to control accounts for all Balance Sheet items on a periodic basis
- Prompt response to data and reporting needs across departments
Qualifications
