Responsibilities

• Handling import files “A-to-Z”, including : quoting, booking, dispatching, Preparing ocean freight documents, offering / issuing insurance certificates, tracking, troubleshooting, and invoicing.
• Coordinating freight daily with vendors / agents.
• Participating in department and branch team meetings.
• Rate / contract negotiation.
• Issuing pertinent freight documentation.
• Constant monitoring and replying to e-mails in the import’s and personal work mailboxes.
• Ensuring appropriate margins are met on shipments.
• Ensuring vendor compliance with service standards
• Maintaining and fostering vendor and client relationships.
• Timely actioning vendor and client requests.
• Cross Train on exports in order to cover when necessary
