Our St. Catharines office has an immediate opening for a full-time Accounting Technician.

Reporting to Partners and Managers, you will be responsible for :

  • Preparation of compilation engagements for clients engaged in various business sectors
  • Bookkeeping background to assist clients with bank reconciliations, HST, and other monthly bookkeeping tasks as required.
  • Prepares personal, trust, and corporate tax returns
  • Assists in the preparation of audit and review engagement files, as required
  • The successful candidate will have :

  • Post-secondary education, with a focus on accounting preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in a public accounting firm preferred
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with Caseware, CaseView, and Taxprep
  • This role requires the applicants to have bookkeeping knowledge, however the focus is on year-end preparation and file work.
