Overview

The Golden Hills School Division invites applications for a Principal of Alternative Programs (Golden Hills Learning Academy – North Campus, Strathmore Storefront School, and Drumheller Outreach) effective the start of the 2026 / 2027 school year. Strathmore is situated on the Trans Canada Highway and is only a 25-minute commute from Calgary.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Education
• Evidence of work with at-risk youth
• Understanding of both face-to-face and online learning challenges and benefits as well as proven ability to help students function successfully in both environments
• Proven success and experience as a school administrator
• Positive interpersonal relations with staff, parents, and community members
• Evidence of ability to work effectively within a collaborative decision-making environment and to promote a positive culture
• Skilled in guiding innovation in educational programs / practices
• Knowledge of effective inclusive education practices
