Job Description

Who we are:

For over 25 years, Global Relay has set the standard in enterprise information archiving with industry-leading cloud archiving, surveillance, eDiscovery, and analytics solutions. We securely capture and preserve the communications data of the world's most highly regulated firms, giving them greater visibility and control over their information and ensuring compliance with stringent regulations.

Though we offer competitive compensation and benefits and all the other perks one would expect from an established company, we are not your typical technology company. Global Relay is a career-building company. A place for big ideas. New challenges. Groundbreaking innovation. It's a place where you can genuinely make an impact – and be recognized for it.

We believe great businesses thrive on diversity, inclusion, and the contributions of all employees. To that end, we recruit candidates from different backgrounds and foster a work environment that encourages employees to collaborate and learn from each other, completely free of barriers.

Your role:

We're seeking a Technical Product Manager who will bridge business strategy with technical execution, owning feature delivery from concept to market. This role demands both technical expertise (especially working with API's, Cloud Infrastructure, Microservice and dealing with multiple technical projects) and strong product leadership, working within a dynamic Agile environment to drive product development while collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Planning
    • Develop product delivery strategy, vision, and roadmaps with short, medium, and long-term feature planning in partnership with senior product management
    • Create and maintain user stories, business requirements, and specifications for component features
    • Translate product roadmaps and feature requests into models, workflow diagrams, acceptance criteria, and other Artifacts
    • Gather product input and feedback from stakeholders and consumers to inform the backlog
    • Create buy-in for the product vision, both internally and with key external partners
  • Technical Leadership & Execution
    • Assume end-to-end responsibility for component/feature delivery
    • Guide engineering teams using Agile methodology, with accountability for deliverables
    • Manage the creation of all necessary artifacts (wireframes, mock-ups, FAQs, cost estimates)
    • Collaborate with architects, UI/UX designers, and team leads to drive requirements through design
    • Identify and coordinate cross-component dependencies throughout development
    • Develop user experience goals and requirements to drive product specifications
  • Process & Team Management
    • Lead Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
    • Share Scrum Master duties with other team members
    • Proactively identify and resolve issues affecting product development goals
    • Create work estimates, track progress, and report status via burn up/down charts
    • Manage capacity planning and prioritize backlogs based on feasibility and market importance
    • Work actively to remove obstacles blocking progress and ensure delivery within schedule
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Support product management, marketing, sales, professional services, training, and technical support during release cycles
    • Work with diverse teams to understand customer needs and define solutions
    • Champion product strategy through collaboration and effective influence with peers and management
    • Serve as primary functional product expert for your responsible components

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical product management
  • Strong understanding of development lifecycles and ability to translate strategic vision for development teams
  • Experienced with cloud services and hands-on backend services within a microservice architecture.
  • Strong requirement elicitation, analysis, use case modeling, and documentation skills
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to support business cases
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Excellent negotiating abilities
  • Experienced in building API-first services, integrating third-party APIs, and working with enterprise-scale components.
  • Experience with SaaS, messaging platforms, or data integration for enterprise markets
  • High attention to detail with ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously

Nice to have:

  • Experience as a software developer/engineer
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Computing and Microservices technologies and concepts such as Kubernetes, Object Storage, Pub/Sub Messaging, and CI/CD
  • Experience working with reporting tools
  • Experience with a SaaS, messaging or enterprise software company
  • Experience delivering projects using java, open source, big data technologies (distributed storage, computation, search, queue, etc.)
  • Experience drive cross-team initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization
  • Strong requirement elicitation, analysis, domain modelling, use case modeling, workflow design, and documentation skills
  • Experience planning, monitoring, and reporting on project status for multiple initiatives/teams
