THE ROLE We’re looking for a dynamic Program Instructor who thrives on creating engaging, safe, and impactful learning experiences. In this role, you’ll plan and deliver classes, demonstrate program techniques, and adapt activities to meet diverse participant needs. You’ll ensure smooth operations by preparing schedules, assembling equipment, and monitoring attendance, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and certification. You’ll also help shape the future of our programs by liaising with external organizations to bring in the latest trends, assisting with advertising and outreach, and supporting evaluation and reporting. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses High school diploma AND some years experience conducting classes, such as group strength and conditioning or fitness classes AND Current program certification Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications Experience Knowledge of instructional techniques, group dynamics, health and safety practices, and injury prevention In planning, organizing, and delivering classes In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants (comprised of children, youth or adults) In ensuring safety protocols and procedures In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail and Internet browsing Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
