Position Overview

General Adult Psychiatrist to join the expanding Psychiatry department at Kelowna General Hospital. The role provides patient assessment and treatment, consultation to medical / surgical units and the emergency department, and maintains community‑based practice, including telepsychiatry opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and treatment
• Collaboration with clinicians and managers
• Assistance with the development and maintenance of programs, policies, and procedures
• Consultation to medical / surgical units and emergency department
• Maintain community‑based practice, including telepsychiatry
• Teaching opportunities to medical students and residents

Compensation and Benefits

Fee‑for‑Service remuneration : \$250,000 – \$400,000. Participation in MOCAP level 2 Physician Overhead. Relocation funding available : \$9,000 – \$15,000 (applicable to 1.0 FTE positions and may be pro‑rated for part‑time).

Employment Details

Seniority level : Entry level. Employment type : Part‑time (eligible for pro‑rated relocation reimbursement).
