Order Picker

Calling all Order Pickers looking to start their career with a leading Canadian company!
Agilus is recruiting for several Order Pickers in the Grocery / Retail sector in Ottawa, Ontario.

A typical day:

• You will receive a printed list of where items are located and the quantity needed
• You will go to that area with a pallet jack (training provided) and pick the items and stack them on a skid quickly and accurately
• You will pack this skid accurately and efficiently (expectation is 110-170 boxes/hour)
• The skid will be brought over to the delivery area to be wrapped up and shipped to the grocery stores
• Most of the areas are refrigerated and some are frozen and wet, so you will need to be dressed accordingly
• Overtime may be offered ahead of time and would be mandatory - up to 2 hours per day or 4 hours per week

Successful candidates will have:

• Must have previous warehouse/order picking experience and strong English language proficiency in reading and communication
• Able to work all Sundays, Fridays and preferably Tuesdays, as well as overtime hours as requested
• Being physically fit and proven ability to lift up to 55lbs repeatedly and able to stand, crouch, twist without difficulty for 8 hours
• Be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
• Attention to detail, accuracy, speed and punctuality
• Reliable transportation (busses do not work for all shifts)
• Own CSA approved steel toe safety boots (above ankle)
• Willingness to learn to operate electric pallet jack and forklift

Total rewards:

• $19.00 hourly
• Evening hours starting at 4pm til 12:30am minimum 3 days per week
• 24-40 hours per week with potential for overtime (up to 2 hours per shift and paid for overtime even if full overtime hours are not required to complete the shift)
• Upon completion of 650 hours, there's the potential to be hired as permanent staff and grow into other roles at this company
• One day paid forklift (Raymond long handle) and Electronic Pallet Jack training provided
