Acadia University is inviting applications for a full-time, 5-month term, Payroll Administrator . The University will consider applications from qualified Acadia employees who may be interested in a secondment opportunity, subject to departmental approval. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable payroll and HR systems experience, expand institutional knowledge, and contribute to a key function supporting the Acadia community.
Acadia's Department of Human Resources is looking for a Payroll Administrator to process payroll for both salary and hourly paid employees. As a key member of the payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely posting and payment of bi-weekly payroll functions while maintaining compliance with established payroll practices, university policies, applicable collective agreements, applicable laws, and regulatory requirements. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and technical skills will be essential to your success.
You will work with the entire HR team, departments across campus, managers, faculty, staff, and students; therefore, this role requires strong interpersonal skills. You will communicate information clearly and concisely to both internal and external partners, ensuring confidentiality.
