Collections Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for managing full-cycle collections, ensuring accounts are up-to-date, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This position offers an opportunity to utilize your expertise in accounts receivable and collections processes within the security industry.

Responsibilities :

• Manage full-cycle collections processes, including contacting clients and resolving payment issues.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks, ensuring timely payment of invoices and maintaining accurate records.
• Communicate with clients to address delinquent accounts and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Process payments efficiently and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain and update account information in relevant systems.
• Address billing discrepancies and resolve issues to ensure client satisfaction.
• Conduct B2B collections to recover outstanding amounts from businesses.
• Monitor credit limits and payment terms to prevent overdue accounts.
• Provide excellent customer service while handling sensitive financial matters.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline collections processes and improve efficiency.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable roles.
• Strong knowledge of collection processes and payment handling.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with online communication tools like WebEx.
• Experience with B2B collections and managing multiple accounts.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on resolving payment issues.
• Ability to analyze credit information and manage delinquent accounts effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with billing and account management systems.
