Finance Manager, Global Consolidations

Our client is a high-profile global company with operations in 60+ countries and over 15,000 employees. What- the Opportunity:

SWIM is looking for a new Finance Manager on behalf of our great client. This role has an emphasis on global consolidations and will appeal to someone who thrives on the complexity and challenges of consolidating financial data from a variety of sources. The Finance Manager will also support mergers & acquisition accounting and will act as a key liaison with external auditors from Big 4 firms. The new Manager will be using a sophisticated financial system (a top-tier ERP) as well as Excel and a consolidation tool. Working on a core global team of 8, and a broader North American accounting & finance team of 70+ people. There is good opportunity for long-term career growth over the years!

Who- the Candidate:

Candidates will have 5+ years of relevant accounting and financial reporting work experience, including at least a couple years specializing in multi-currency consolidations.

• CPA designation is required.
• Hands-on experience with sub-consolidations, Cumulative Translation Adjustment (CTA) consolidation processes, elimination entries (intercompany and investment), preparing roll-forwards, and preparing/finalizing consolidated financial statements.
• Experience working in a publicly listed company is highly preferred, but not necessarily required if someone has worked for a large and multi-national private company with rigorous internal controls.
• Exposure to M&A accounting (particularly post-acquisition integration from an accounting perspective) is an asset.

Where:

Working from the downtown Vancouver office, very accessible by rapid transit. Full-time in-office during the first month or so of training. After that, the Manager can work from home 1 or 2 days a week.

How Much:

Robust total compensation package- base salary commensurate with education and experience, in the range of $108,000 to $138,000, perhaps with a bit of upwards wiggle for a candidate with highly relevant and complex global consolidations experience. Additionally, the Manager will be eligible for a performance-based bonus, full CPA support, an RRSP match, excellent benefits, and other employee perks. Please discuss with SWIM.
